Vancouver Maritime Museum, CMD Centre Room and at the Dock!

28 Jan 2018 0930h - 1630h

Ken Gillstrom

Docking and maneuvering in tight quarters can be the most stressful part of our sailing day, many of us would rather not depart the marina than face this venture. It is fine to practice on the water, but this seminar will show you the “big picture” that we also must learn about, and this goes back to understanding the basic principles of maneuvering the boat through the water is differently than when cruising, under power and sail.

This course will be taught in the classroom, using simple vessel and dock models to help demonstrate techniques, and at the docks at the Vancouver Maritime Museum on board Gemini’s Dream (please dress appropriately for the weather of the day)
