This workshop will provide participants with a basic understanding of boat electrical systems. Topics to be discussed will include:
- Difference between AC and DC systems and how they are connected
- Overview of batteries
- How much current is drawn by what items and ways to monitor it
- Charging systems
Sarah has worked in the Marine Service Industry for over 21 years. Her working experiences include boat rebuilding, refinishing, installations, repairs, and surveys of both power and sail boats. Sarah is also involved in the training of marine service technicians.
Her professional qualifications include a four-year Quadrant Marine Repair Technician apprenticeship training; she is a CYA Sailing Instructor; a Lloyd’s Maritime Academy Marine Surveyor, and has recently completed a Master’s degree program in marine surveying.
