Ahoy sailors and friends! Mark your calendars now for another fabulous BCA get-together – the Gorge Harbour End-of-Summer Rendezvous & Pig Roast on August 25-27, 2017!
Need a couple of reasons to participate?
- We had such a great time last year, we’re doing it again. A perfect way to either end the summer or start your fall cruising season!
- Hang out with some of BCA’s “northern” members who you don’t frequently get a chance to visit with.
- Enjoy a relaxing weekend in a beautiful part of the Salish Sea.

Hosted by longtime members, Amanda and Barry Glickman, and a crew of willing assistants, this will be a casual, end-of-summer rendezvous, complete with a pig roast on a floating barge. With over 100′ of dock space in front of their waterfront home (the “pin” on the image above marks the spot), there’s plenty of room for dinghies to tie up, socializing and the BBQ itself.
There will be an Appy Hour for those arriving on Friday August 25, time to swap stories, share experiences and check out each others’ boats. The pig roast will be Saturday evening (potluck salads, desserts, etc provided by attendees), and plans are to have Sunday breakfast on the dock too. Barry and Amanda hope everyone will be willing to help turn the pig on Saturday (it will take nearly 12 hours to cook), but if turning the spit is not your “thing”, please consider volunteering to help coordinate breakfasts and/or an activity. A number count is needed for the BBQ, so please register online if you plan to attend (look for “Register/RSVP” in the event listing [2]). The cost per person will be $10, payable upon arrival to the hosts.
