Come and join your fellow sailors and boaters for BCA’s annual summer rendezvous hosted by the Vancouver Chapter at Port Browning Marina [1] on Pender Island.
To attend this event please register online [2] and pay your $10 pp fee by July 24 (kids under 12 are free). Advance registration is needed to help determine the number of attendees for breakfasts.
The theme of this summer’s rendezvous is ‘Mysteries of the Sea’ and a mystery will be solved over the course of the weekend. Other activities include group walks, blindfold dinghy races, a pancake breakfast, the ever-popular potluck dinner, and much more.
When you arrive at the marina, be sure to check in with the host boat, Makoolis, which will be flying the BCA banner and spinnaker. At check-in you will receive your Registration Kit, containing the BCA Waiver Form that must be signed by each person on board.
Additional detail about the weekend and the tentative schedule of events can be found here [2]. In keeping with BCA’s commitment to “green boating”, all attendees are asked to bring their own cup, plate and cutlery, etc to each event. Doing so will minimize our collective use of paper and plastic.
If you have a suggestion and want to lead a hike or activity on Saturday, please email Ryan Shellborn, Rendezvous Coordinator. [3]
