You’ve heard of “Dinner and a Movie”. Well our next club meeting will be Books, Movies and Blogs – All Things Sailing.
We have some eager club members who have been reading up a storm, watching some great movie clips and creating and/or discovering amazing blogs about sailing; and they want to share them at the next meeting. We decided that this would be a wonderful opportunity to open this up to the entire membership so you can bring and share a favourite book, movie or blog about sailing.
So far we have the following club members who are eager to share:
- Tami Adams-Catherwood
- Joel Fox
- Christine McGregor
- Jim McGregor
- Bill Norrie
- Cathy Norrie
- Neil Watson
The book(s)/movie(s) can be: nonfiction (technical, narrative nonfiction, inspirational) or fiction for adults, young adults or picturebooks. If you have a clip of video on your laptop or memory stick bring those along to share with us too. If you have a sailing blog you would like to share with us that would be a wonderful addition!
Below you can see a sample format that we think would work for a good booktalk:

Q & A from the audience:
Some of you may have literally hundreds of books and movies about sailing and many of us are eager to hear about them. Please come to our next meeting prepared to share a book or two with us… or if you would prefer, just sit back and enjoy listening to those who do.
