After a courageous journey of riding and racing on the waves of life, from the highest peaks to the flattest and most calm waters, Lynn’s journey finally came to an end.  Lynn rejoins his parents and his three brothers.

Lynn leaves behind his wife and best friend Debbie, children Christa (& Scott), Dean (& Robyn);  stepchildren Adam (& Marcia) and Kristi (& Heather); and grandchildren; Lily and Zachary, Keith and Nolen, Caelan, Keinan and Kenslie, Jo and Jake;  favourite nephew Gerry;  sisters Phyllis and Paulette; numerous nephews and nieces; and our adopted family neighbours Pam, David, Doug, Sarah and kids.

Lynn and Debbie joined Bluewater Cruising Association in 2005 and participated in Fleet, Weather and various other courses before heading offshore on Dolphin Tales. Sailing wherever and whenever he could, it was very much his special love, and his line was “if you want to spend time with me, get on the boat”. Lynn and Debbie have made numerous friends from the sailing community and thank them for their support.

We were shocked to hear of Lynn’s passing. We remember the good times in fleet and in Mazatlan. We deeply appreciated the assistance when our passports were stolen. Lynn seemed vibrant and full of energy. Much more than us. It was always fun to hear you folks check in on the Great Northern Boaters Net.

Hello Debbie, I am so sorry to hear of Lynn’s passing. Sorry and so shocked. I remember you so well from our early days in Bluewater and even remember when we were actually sailing fairly close together somewhere off the coast in Mexico, I think. Somewhere on our way down when we all left. I wish you well Debbie. With love.

  4. Chris Stask says:

Jacquie and I were at Maple Bay Yacht Club last summer and stopped by Dolphin Tales. We did not know Lynn was ill at the time. Fond memories at Rendezvous over the years chatting with you two. Our sympathies to you and your family.

Debbie, we are deeply saddened by Lynn’s passing. Great memories of Fleet and sharing tales of adventure at BCA meetings. He leaves a wake of great passages, places visited and people loved. Barrie and Sandra SV Nearchus (SV Passat II)

Debbie. Although, at times such as this there’s little one can do. I hope it helps in some small way to know, my thoughts are with you as you face the days ahead. Evelyn

Debbie – Connie & I are very sorry to hear your news and send love and sympathy to you and your family. I always thought Lynn was one of the happiest and easiest to get along with men I’d ever had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out on boats with. I’m sure you and your children can take a lot of the credit for that…and Dolphin Tales too, of course.
We have especially fond memories of spending time with you both in the last Peterson Cup Rally.

    Peter McMartin
