Mayknot
Seabird 37
February 12th, 2015

The regular Vancouver Fleet meeting for February is on the 24th and features Guy Druce.

Guy’s presentation is titled “Electronics – High Tech / Low Tech”. He will discuss his experience as navigator in last year’s Vic Maui race as navigator on a fairly high-tech boat in contrast to his circumnavigation in a low-tech one. He will discuss the electronics and how they worked (and what failed) in the context of racing and what is needed for long distance cruising.

In January, the Vancouver Fleet held their meeting on the 27th. The topic was boat electrics presented by Fleet member, John Neilson.

The Fleet meets at 1900h at the Scottish Cultural Centre on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September to November, and then January to June. If you would like to join the Fleet show up at one of the regular meetings or contact Cameron at vanfleet@bluewatercruising.org. The dues are $50 per boat and include all members of the crew.
