Colleen Miscovitch from Leitch McBride will be talking about the types of canvas maintenance and repairs she sees most often, and some of the considerations when planning a repair project. She’ll look at common materials, helpful tools, and a few clever tricks to make your project easier.
Colleen has been a sailmaker for twelve years, a sailor for twenty-two years, and a boater since her first (successful!) fishing trip at age 5. Sewing has likewise been part of her life since early days. She enjoys building new sails and boat canvas, but also likes to repair older used items, to bring them back to life. If they can’t be brought back, Colleen is enthusiastic about recycling.
