Sixteen people attended November meeting of the joint Vancouver, VI and Calgary Fleets which focused on heavy weather sailing. Presenter Ken Gillstrom did an exceptional presentation, with value for both the beginner and the advanced offshore sailor. Ken has deep experience and a good mind for detail. If you are looking for an offshore experience, he also offers offshore cruises/training for those wanting to learn more. He will also be at the Vancouver Boat Show in January.
Show and Tell: Jud shared information on Jordan Series drogues and recommended Ocean Brake for more info. Campbell talked about Mopeka, a global leader in sonar tank monitoring systems that is compatible with Victron GX.
The December meeting will be the Fleet Solstice Potluck Supper at Spruce Harbour Marina on the 19th.
