Anne Trudel

Two different continents… mirrored coastlines… the same but different.

During their recent years revisiting their home cruising grounds of BC and exploring up to SE Alaska aboard Papa Rhumba, BCA members Amanda and Barry Glickman were struck by the parallels in flora, fauna, geography and geology with the coast of southern Chile, having called the waters between Puerto Montt and Puerto Williams home for 4 years, aboard their previous sailing vessel Darwin’s Passage.

Like a time warp back a few hundred years, the waters of southern Chile were somehow left behind in another time period, more reminiscent of a time just post-contact along our northern shores here in British Columbia and Alaska.
