VI South Hybrid Club Night – Hot Springs and Glaciers: BC to Alaska and Back

Royal Victoria Yacht Club Main Lounge or via ZOOM

15 Apr 2025 1900h - 2130h

Members $5 / Non-Members $10

Peter McMartin

Siegfried and Johanne Kemmler are very enthusiastic about their cruise to Alaska due, in part, to the wonderful coastal people they met along the way. Their adventures onboard their Spencer 44, Swadeshi, shown throughout a series of photos and video clips, will illustrate the beauty and wonder of this wild area of the Pacific Coast.  Two boats, 6 dogs and dear friends Mary Newman and Robert Smith on their Hanse 445 Silken all added to this wonderful experience. Siggi will also share some of the other things that go along with sailing: mechanical issues, weather, tides and currents and what to bring as spares.

Hi – are you able to tell me the locations of the hot springs and glacier shown in the pics above? I unfortunately was only able to catch a portion of the zoom and we are looking for some great hot springs along the way. We are currently expected to make landfall at Yakutat in the next week coming from Hawaii.
    Thanks so much
