Join Master Mariner and Offshore Yachtmaster Scott Crawshaw for two evenings of weather instruction (1.5 hours per session). Learn the basics of weather:
- how it circulates,
- how it creates high and low pressure areas,
- how temperature and moisture work together,
- what air masses are and how fronts form,
- all about fog, clouds, and precipitation,
- as well as how to interpret weather maps; and
- where to find forecasts
If you are interested in knowing about the weather in your local area, have access to VHF (and/or the internet) then this course is for you. Build your confidence. Learn how to look at the environment around you, combine that with the weather report, and apply it to your immediate situation.
If this sounds like a tall order for a 3-hour course, that’s because you’ve probably never taken a course from Scott Crawshaw before. He not only knows his stuff, he knows how to teach it.
