Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve Orientation

On behalf of Anna Maria Husband, Visitor Services Team Leader Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve and Haida Heritage Site, and Bluewater Cruising Association, we are pleased to announce that anyone planning to visit the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, National Marine Conservation Area Reserve, and Haida Heritage Site will have an opportunity to attend a mandatory Orientation session for 2015 in Sidney on Saturday March 14.

This Orientation is required before you can visit this amazingly beautiful area of our coast. Normally presented in Skidegate on Haida Gwaii, this opportunity will allow you to enter the area by boat directly from the mainland coast after you have made your reservations, thus making passage to the area far more convenient.

The Orientation will be held in the main gallery of the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre at 9811 Seaport Place in Sidney on Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 PM. Location information is available here.

The Orientation is FREE of charge so even if you are just thinking about going to Gwaii Haanas this year, please come and find out more about what’s involved in visiting this part of the world. Regardless, you will be glad you did. No reservations are required.
