While most of us have a basic knowledge of knots, this is a hands-on course that will involve learning the correct methods of splicing both braided and stranded lines and learning/increasing your knowledge of knots and the correct application on a sailboat.  The course fee includes a set of splicing fids ($70 value) to take with you and line materials to use in the course and take home.
