September will bring many of us home from local cruising adventures – and back to enjoying Club Nights…

We are pleased to welcome Alan Boreham to speak again:

The Top Four Obstacles to Sailors Wanting to Go Offshore, and How to Overcome Them

“Whether you’re an experienced coastal sailor or a novice, you may have the desire to try offshore sailing. If you haven’t managed to make that dream a reality, it may be that you don’t know where to start, or have found obstacles in your way. In this interactive session, Alan Boreham will draw on his thirty-five years of sailing experience as a coastal and offshore sailor, sailing instructor, and instructor evaluator, to explain the top four reasons sailors have given him for not going offshore, and why you shouldn’t let those stop you. Alan will illustrate the solutions with his experiences, and those of others who have left the shores to sail the world’s oceans.”

This presentation will surely lead to an interesting discussion, and hopefully other ‘Don-ers’ and ‘Do-ers’ will be able to impart some of their own experiences too!
