From the misty fjords of southern Alaska to the far north western corner in Glacier Bay, Urs and Judy Boxler spent three months covering 3,500 nautical miles in their steel 46-foot Kristen sailboat, Raven Song.  Staying in 60 wilderness anchorages, Urs and Judy also visited many cities and villages to explore the local flavours and learn about the folklore and history in their museums. They visited several native villages, including one abandoned Haida village dating back to the 1700’s, hidden in the forest, where they found remnants of houses and totems, including some still standing totem poles. Although they have included selected historical photographs of the “old times” in Alaska, the bulk of the presentation is focused on the spectacular scenery and the many experiences with wildlife, including some up-close encounters with grizzly bears.

Would this Judy Boxler be the same person who watched Neil Armstrong put the first foot on the moon?
    – with me at London Life Insurance Company – in those days known as Judy Rohmer.

If so, it would be great to say hello after all these years.

    Brian.
