Author and sailor Andrew Gunson and his first mate, Janet, are bound for the Panama Canal and the Caribbean Sea.  Their adventure commences in Chiapas, Mexico, only to then take on a 1000-nautical mile, open ocean passage to the remote Galápagos Islands of Ecuador.

Join the crew of the Maiatla II as they discover deserted volcanic isles, free-roaming giant tortoises and iguanas, with the ghost of Darwin lurking in the shadows. Swim with dolphins, pilot whales, hammerhead sharks and playful Antarctic penguins.  Sailing before boisterous trade winds and romantic moonlight swims in exotic anchorages are done as a matter of course for this lifelong cruising couple. Cast off and set sail with the Gunsons as they live out their dreams!

A Slow Boat to Panamá: México to the Galápagos Islands and Panamá, by Andrew W. Gunson, is the fourth book in his Naked Canadian Cruising Series.
