VI Mid-Island Virtual Club Night - Off the Beaten Path; Five Seasons in Mexico

Online Zoom Meeting

21 Oct 2021 1900h - 2130h PST

Members $0 / Non-Members $0

Kate Swangard

Join BCA VI members Barb Peck and Bjarne Hansen as they recount highlights of five seasons spent cruising Mexican waters.  During that time, they dealt with a hurricane that damaged Hoku Pa’a, their Niagara 35, explored the Sea of Cortez as far north as Puerto Don Juan, experienced the pandemonium of Carnaval in both Mazatlan and La Paz, and sailed as far south as Puerto Vallarta.  They gravitate towards lesser travelled locales; their photos and stories convey their enjoyment of hiking, wildlife encounters, and snorkeling.

Barb and Bjarne spent 2004-2006 cruising the South Pacific on Freya, their 30′ Hunter-Vogel.  After a few years back in Victoria, they again headed south in 2015, this time on Hoku Pa’a.  Plans for French Polynesia were revised in response to the COVID pandemic; they sailed back to Canada via the clipper route in May 2020.

This will be a Virtual Club Night, on the Zoom platform.  All BCA members will receive an invitation with links to the Zoom meeting and login details.  If you are not a member (or if you did not receive the email) and would like to attend please email Kate Swangard for details.
