Calgary Club Night – America’s Great Loop

A Calgary sailing couple crosses to the Dark Side and circumnavigates eastern North America in their 44′ motor cruiser.  Rowland and Alexandra Harrison began their sailing career together off Nova Scotia.  In the years BC (before children), they sailed their 40′ Concordia yawl down the Intracostal Waterways (ICW) for a winter in the The Bahamas, returning to Halifax.  Now, more than 30 years later, they are two-thirds of the way through America’s Great Loop and plan to “cross their wake” near Fort Myers, FL this fall.  Their presentation will cover the wonder – and the challenges – of this unique adventure.
