VI Mid Island Club Night – Crewing to the Galapagos Islands

BCA members Denis Heinrichs and Rosario Passos have been preparing for their offshore adventures since 2007 by enrolling in all possible preparation courses, taking active roles in the BCA community and, of course, honing their sailing skills on their then Catalina 27. In 2015 they found their ideal offshore vessel: a Whitby 42 that they named Counting Stars.

Join Denis and Rosario as they tell of their practice offshore voyage crewing with fellow BCA member Gary Peacock on Searover II from La Paz Mexico to the Galapagos Islands in 2017.

Their dream became a reality  in 2023 when they set sail to Mexico where their boat is now hauled out and patiently waiting for their return.
